MY FLOWER POWER

This is my favorite time of year. As soon as it gets warm, I get the itch for planting fowers. These are a few of my favorite flowers out there in the front yard. I'm really not sure what the names of the flowers are......all I know is they are a lot of fun!!!!!

My #1 favorite flower!! It looks so beautiful and a little exotic.

For Mother's Day, Scott and the kids took me to Aspen Grove Nursery and we picked out flowers. These blue ones were the ones Riley picked out and they are really cute.

I really liked these flowers too. They are a great color.

Here's a shot of half of the garden. At our house I run the flower bed and Scott runs the veggie garden. I'm thinking that I'll need to get back there to weed though. I was looking at it today and the weeds and plants are looking too much the same.

I think I'll continue to keep the flowers going until I am too old and crikkity to move.

Nature is a beautiful thing.

Baby Emery eats RICE and is 4 months old

My little man is four months old.....time has gone by fast.

He has the sweetest little smile and I love that he loves to smile at me. One of my favorite things to do is sit and talk to him and watch him smile.

He's not very ticklish, so getting him to laugh is a trick, and I'm looking forward to the laughter coming out more.

I was telling Scott last night that I could keep him just like this forever, he is so sweet, and that way I wouldn't need to have any more kids, because the thought of not having a sweet baby ever again honestly does make me a little sad. Scott's reply....."You don't need to worry about it for awhile." Very helpful, that man!

REALLY the #1 reason for starting my kids on rice is so they'll hopefully have a fuller stomach, so they will sleep longer during the night. So far, it's not made much of a difference, he still sleeps half the night tucked in bed by me. He seems to like eating the rice though, and it was so much fun watching Scott feed it to him. This night I didn't even need to ask for help feeding him, Scott volunteered. Cutie pies!!!



He looks pretty content, huh!!! I am so in love with this cute little baby.

Sprinkler Ball

So, I've been wanting to buy this ball for two years now. I actually tried to buy it last year, but it was all sold out. When it came back in stock THIS year I bought it (like in Jan. or Feb.) and we have been WAITING for it to finally get warm enough to try it out. At last, it was warm enough to pull it out and after like 45 minutes (I even used the air compresser) it was ready to be used. The kids had a blast with it!!!!!!

So cute, and even BIGGER than I thought it would be.

Dannon woke up late, so she didn't get her swimming suit on.
Her and I will have to run through it next time (you may not get to see pictures of that though)


Riley's friend Dylan came over and they were loving the water.
If you look behind them at the well around the tomato plant you will see that my kids filled some of it up with the sidewalk chalk. I should probably dump them out.
Ok, so random placing, but this is my yellow bell pepper plant.
I sure hope to someday see a bell pepper on that thing.

Last of all is our little garden that sits in the corner of the yard.
This is our first year trying a garden and Scott has worked very hard getting it ready to plant.
Him and Riley planted radishes, corn, swiss chard (not sure I've even eaten that), potatoes, I think peas (can't remember for sure), and carrots. I'm sure that I've forgotten something, but they are all vegetables and they will be delicious! Oh, and if you're wondering what else is in there, they are pine cones and we AREN'T trying to plant them. They are from the tree next to the garden.

not sure why I even posted a picture of the tomato plant.
It must be because I had such high hopes for the poor thing. Sad little plant!
